The lecture drew well over 100 people. The audience was a healthy mix of locals and scholars attending the 18th annual conference of the World History Association. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica"&gt;We'd like to see more of this kind of mixed audience at the Salem Athenaeum.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica"&gt;Programs at the Athenaeum have grown both in number and quality in recent years. It's not only good for the Athenaeum, but good for the community and surrounding communities to have access to this rich cultural resource. Listen to a brief introduction to the topic and then take part (or simply listen) in a lively discussion of the topic. It's casual, relaxed and early enough so as not to interfere with your evening plans.
